Changing Lives of Boca Raton, Inc. is requesting help in Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information Center.
Changing Lives needs your toiletry donations. Each Saturday our Compassionate Care program provides showers, clothing, shoes, counseling and referral services for people in need. The volunteer staff primarily serves individuals, as well as families, who are experiencing homelessness.
Toiletries are a small but essential component in our lives that are often taken for granted. Soap, shampoo and deodorant allow us to maintain our daily appearance. Without basic hygiene items our appearance deteriorates and over time it becomes easy to lose one’s self-respect, confidence and drive.
For an individual who is already facing challenging circumstances or experiencing homelessness, losing their self-respect and confidence because of their physical appearance can make the problem worse. Especially in these difficult times of COVID-19 where cleanliness and sanitation are highly recommended by the CDC and our local government authorities.
Travel-sized items are ideal for those we serve. Small bottles are space-saving and easy to carry making it possible for someone without regular shelter to stay clean while relying on public restrooms.
Unfortunately for our Resource Center, the need for these items is so great that it is difficult to keep our supply shelves stocked with hygiene basics.

* Hats
If your summer travel ends with extra toiletries from your hotel stay, consider donating these items and help others meet their basic needs.

On an average day, we serve about 50-100 walk-in guests, who need basic services ranging from showers and clothing to counseling and job referral. Your gift powers our programs as we provide vital support to those who are struggling.
Dropping Off Donations
Unfortunately, we are not able to pick up donations. But you can bring things to us at our Changing Lives of Boca Raton office located at 1000 N Dixie Highway, Boca Raton, FL., 33432 Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. On Saturdays at First United Methodist Church 625 NE Mizner Blvd. Boca Raton, FL., 33432 from 8am to 11am. Before you come, please give us a call at (561)961-4635 to let us know to expect you!
If you are unable to get to us during normal operating hours, we would be happy to talk about setting up a more convenient time for drop offs.
